Tech Europe Foundation: Milan, Capital of Technological Innovation

With the goal of attracting 1,000 startups per year, Milan establishes itself as a European tech hub thanks to the Tech Europe Foundation, the result of a collaboration between universities, businesses, and investors.

Milan strengthens its role as a European hub of technological innovation with the launch of the Tech Europe Foundation (TEF), a non-profit initiative supported by four key players—Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, Università Bocconi, Ion Group, and FSI—aiming to create an open and inclusive ecosystem capable of attracting 1,000 startups per year.

The foundation is the result of collaboration between universities, technology companies, and investors, with the goal of building an open and inclusive ecosystem. The new tech hub will be located in the Bovisa district, already involved in urban regeneration projects.

TEF will focus on key sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotech, renewable energy, and medtech, fostering synergies between research, industry, and startups. This open system aims not only to engage local entities but also to collaborate with international partners, confirming Milan as a leading destination for new entrepreneurial and technological ventures.

The Tech Europe Foundation has an ambitious long-term goal: to raise €1 billion by 2030, supporting a new generation of entrepreneurs and helping to solidify Milan and Lombardy as the heart of European technological innovation. Through this initiative, the city is set to become a leading center for startups and future enterprises, driving economic and employment growth.
